How annoying is it to hear: “Welcome to (insert company name here), to "blah blah blah blah" press one: to "blah blah blah blah" press two: to "blah blah blah blah" press three.” It’s about that time I feel like pressing the phone up someone's ass. What happened to customer service? What happened to a real live person answering the phone with a friendly hello and either taking a message that someone actually gets, or connecting you to a real person in the department you need assistance with.
It seems every utility company and certainly the credit card companies do their very best NOT to allow you to speak to an actual customer representative until you've jumped through so many hoops that by the time you DO get an actual person, you're REALLY frustrated. And of course those calls "may be recorded", I'm guessing that's in case you threaten to blow the place up...which would be impossible because the call is probably being answered somewhere in India. And now companies are directing you to do your business on line so you will NEVER get to speak to a real person in said company which makes me wonder...do they really exist?

more automated crap, less money paid to employees...that simple..
oh and recorded is supposedly to monitor what crap these people are saying to you...lol..
whatever...
I love how "0" is no longer an option either.. i think they learned to disable that as well.. it used to be that you could just press "0" and get someone..not anymore..
THAT IS THE #1 REASON WHY ON vERIZONS 411 TO GET NUMBERS THEY ASK FOR THE STATE TOWN COMPANY OR PERSONAL. MY LAST JOB ALL I WOULD SAY IN THE RECORDING WAS BLAH BLAH BLAH SO I COULD GET CONNECTED TO AN OLD FASHIONED OPERATOR. UGHH THE AGGREVATION! CUSTOMER SERVICE SHOULD BE #1 ON EVERY COMPANY'S MIND NOT DUMB RECORDINGS. OH BY THE WAY TRY GETTING THROUGH TO THE SOCIAL SECURITY OR MASSHEALTH.
